HBK
I just inherited a team in a Keeper league where each team gets to keep 3 players. Scoring as follows: 1 point per completion. 1 point per reception. 1 point for every 10 yards rushing/receiving. 1 point for every 25 yards passing. 6 points for any TD. 3 points for all FGs 49 yards and under. 4 points for all FGs 50 yards and over. 2 points for a 2 pt conversion. 1 point for PAT. -2 points for each INT or lost fumble. No deduction for a recovered fumble. -10 points for a missed/blocked PAT (no excuse for that) -1 points for a missed FG of 49 yards and under. Roster spots are: 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 WR/RB, 1 K, 1 Defense, 8 bench My team: QB: Peyton Manning (keeper) Ben Roethlisberger RB: Deuce McAllister (keeper) Michael Pittman Maurice Hicks Lee Suggs Chestor Taylor William Green WR: Darrell Jackson Donald Driver Marty Booker Derrick Mason Brandon Stokely Deion Branch Nate Burleson Joe Jurevicius TE: Todd Heap Jeb Putzier K: Josh Scobee D/ST: Indianapolis There are the two obvious keepers here of Manning and McAllister here...barring a pre draft trade who would you keep as your 3rd keeper? My opinion is that Nate Burleson is the next best player, but i am also high on Deion Branch. Should i consider Darrell Jackson or even Todd Heap? There are a couple of people i could probably trade for that would make a better keeper. That would require giving up some draft picks though. Advice is greatly appreciated. Hugh 0ne
What happens if you only declare 2 keepers? Do you gain a draft spot?
The Darkside
i would keep driver over the other mentioned, but unless you think you can land a rb in the draft start looking for trades. Deuce does not get much love around these boards, he's never going to reach the uberstud level like LT or SA but he can be soild. what are the potential trade you can make? HBK
Well i think i could maybe get Kevin Jones...but i think i may be hard pressed to get a good RB in the draft. I have tinkered with the idea of offering Peyton for a combination of two good players, but i feel this league really favours a player like him and he could really carry me to the playoffs. I am also excited about McAllister with the one point per reception rule. I would not gain anything by keeping two players. Also i would prefer Nate Burleson to Donald Driver i think. The Darkside
what would you have to give to get jones?
HBK
Not quite sure, but i presume either a 3rd/4th round pick. The player i have in mind has...Ahman Green, Kevin Jones, Torry Holt and Marvin Harrison. I figure i should try and get the outcast of his. The Darkside
if you can get k.jones for a 3rd or 4th i would do it now, looking at the huddles first 3 mock drafts in both 12 team league he went late first round and in the 8 team he went 3rd round, either way i think that would be a steal for you and set you up with manning/deuce/k.jones, not a bad start .
