Kansas State 2000
The Cowboys are expected as early as today to trade Pete Hunter to the New York Jets for a late-round draft choice in either 2006 or 2007. Hunter's performance will determine the compensation. LINK Edited July 14, 2005 by Kansas State 2000
EZDoesit
Can the cowboys afford to give up half decent corners? I thought Hunter played pretty well last year before he got injured......
msaint
I had heard some "Ty Law to the Jets" rumors, might still be the case, but....might this be a prelude to Parcells making a run at Ty? Not sure what the Dallas cap situation is, or even if they need a veteran corner, but Parcells and Ty have a history, at least.

With Henry and Newman as the starting corners, Parcells asked Hunter to move to Safety. With Hunter a FA after the season, his agent apparently was against the move based on the lower market value for the safety position.
