rhippens
The Associated Press reports Indianapolis Colts president Bill Polian expects RB Edgerrin James to be at training camp next week. "He has a contract that he signed of his own free will, and we expect him to honor that contract," Polian told the Associated Press on Thursday, July 21. "For people to think that he can request a trade or something is pure baloney. He has two choices: He can honor the contract or not honor the contract." Polian acknowledged he has not spoken with James about his plans. i think he's right, and i just had a discussion about this with a friend of mine. if he didn't want to show up or didn't want to play, then why did he sign? if you want a longer contract, then negotiate, don't sign one and then say you won't show up. this problem is getting worse every year. i won't point all fingers at 'ol drew, but the fact is that his big name clients are the guys that seem to continually stir the pot.
