Coffeeman
If rumors are true, the reason Coach Carroll hasn't commented on kicker Mario Danelo's death is that he's on vacation in Costa Rica. Supposedly Wayne Huizinga's private jet is there too. Dammit Pete, do NOT go to Miami. As a USC fan, this has been a very bad day...

Supposedly Wayne Huizinga's private jet is there too. Dammit Pete, do NOT go to Miami. According to Sabin this Wayne guy doesn't take no very easily. Nick claims he told him no several times yet he continued to recruit him. For USC's sake you better hope he's not out there courting your coach. GWPFFL BrianW
Wayne loves high profile guys, and it doesn't get any more high profile than Pete Carrol at the college level.
detlef
I can't, for the life of me, understand why he would want to make the jump. It sure seems like he's got a pretty nice life going and looks like about the happiest and healthiest coach out there. He's making a ton of jack and I'm sure USC opens up the wallet for him as soon as enough guys out there start getting more than him. Unlike the pros, he's in that rather enviable situation where he knows that nearly every week, if not every week, he's stepping on the field with more talent than the other guy and he can pretty much count on the USC gig as long as he wants it. Leave for what? To get thrust into a cut throat situation that requires 20 hours a day of preparation where the media will be breathing down his neck? No thanks. Exactly - and if Wayne dropped in on his (very rare and well-deserved) vacation uninvited, I hope Pete tells him where to stick it. But he's probably too nice to be that blunt... Sgt. Ryan
This also ran FLA is about to win a NC, as Carroll with superior talent lost not one but 2 games vs unranked opposition. Just think if Carroll was so great, he would have his team in this game ripping OSU to shreds.
