For the record, I'd like to say if the SunDevils win at Oregon and @ home against USC, i have no issues with them overtaking the Bucks atop the BCS polls. This team is surprising and exciting and now facing the meat of their schedule. If they go undefeated in the PAC 10 this season, they are the most deserving team in the country, imo.

The PAC 10 , imo, is better at the top 5 teams in their conference then the SEC , and while not as deep below that it's enough for me to say they have what appears without the end results of the bowl season, to have the best conference at this point.

I agree, ohio - Pac10 is the best across the top 5 teams this year, with SEC a close second. But I don't think the Devils can do it up at Autzen - very tough place to win. Which shows how good the Bears were earlier too. I think the Devils beat USC at home (dammit, crap) after losing to the Ducks in a close one on the road. Great game coming up this weekend in Eugene, again...

Good for you TOS. Some might argue that the PAC 10 has three teams if not four teams better than Ohio State. Biggest problem most people have in giving Ohio State yet another crack at the NC is the fact of what happen not just last season when the Bucks got totally outclassed, but more recently what happen when Oregon traveled to Michigan and handed them another embarrassing loss yet the Wolverines remain undefeated in the Big 10 conference. To be honest, at this point in the season, I'm not 100% convinced Hawaii hasn't played a tougher schedule than the Buckeyes.

I'm not convinced the Big Ten is as bad as everyone says it is either.

Brian didn't think you would. However let's face it, if Ohio State can win 19 straight Big 10 games just how tough of a conference can it really be. Got to think most Buckeye fans are actually getting somewhat bored these days with the level of competition offered in the Big 10.

What I get out of TOS comments above is that the Buckeye fan base doesn't want a team like BC getting in the big game with them. Instead they would much prefer some real competition like a SEC or Pac 10 team just for an opportunity to makeup for last year's embarrassing performance against Florida. Make no mistake about it, a win by the Buckeyes by any margin over Boston College surely won't earn back the respect Ohio State fans so desperately want.

Oh I don't know. LSU's win over Oklahoma got them some respect, even though they were facing the wrong team, and have a very high inferiority complex when it comes to that year, not sure why.

The Big Ten was definately down in 05 and 06. I'm just saying 07 cannot be judged yet until the season is over with. And it seems pretty fair, because 1 loss LSU rightfully has a chance. 1 loss Ohio State or BC, won't, more than likely. So I think it's balancing itself out in what has been a very crazy year thus far. A playoff is still needed, but that's like saying we shouldn't have gone to Iraq. There isn't anything we can do about it, other than make the best of a bad situation. As far as Ohio State domination goes, I wonder if people were saying the same thing in the 90's when Florida won it nearly every year. I bet they weren't. There's definately a double standard when it comes to the SEC.
