MrTed46
(Rotoworld) Josh Morgan started at split end for the 49ers in Week 7 and caught five balls for 86 yards and a touchdown. Analysis: However, errors behind the nice numbers could threaten Morgan's job. He looked terrific making grabs in traffic, but also had an early drop and kicked a ball out of his own end zone that resulted in a safety. Morgan has lots of talent, but shouldn't be relied on as a spot fantasy play yet. Yes, the dropped deep ball was bad. He flat out dropped it. But kicking the ball out of bounds was not a mistake rather smart. Had he not done that, the G-men would have had a DST TD. What do you guys think? I was very impressed with him during this game. peepinmofo
I think he should have let the Giants DST score the TD. It would have given me more points.

Kid Cid
I agree. Kicking the ball was a smart play. If he had tried to fall on it, the best that could have happened would be a safety anyway. The Rotoworld analysis is the mistake.

Smart play. whoever did that write up is an idiot. He did make a costly drop but not sure that should cost him his job

He did make a costly drop but not sure that should cost him his job Yeah, I agree. If drop passes are that costly B Edwards would be asking people if they want their meals supersized. Morgan actually ran clever routes..even the one he dropped when they replayed it he had both the safety and the corner he just dropped it. The Irish Doggy
Yeah, he should have fallen on the ball in the endzone, not kicked it out of bounds. That would have only been a ... oh wait... ummm.
kpholmes
When I saw the play I thought it was great awareness for a rookie to do that... I thought he would be praised for it, not criticized.
