Ochocinco to do the "Ricky Bobby"

I dont really have a problem with a spontaneous celebration of a TD or hugh, game-changing play. His "riverdance" was good, for example. Planning/announcing it ahead of time(and/or using props), though, takes the spontaneity out of it for me and turns it from fun to kinda stupid. That's trying too hard, IMO, and takes away from rather than adding to...

What I have lost all patience for is all the flippin "celebrating" that goes on nearly every play now. Defender makes a nice play and there he goes doing some stupid dance. Special teams goof makes a tackle on kick coverage and runs around the whole field as though he just cured cancer and hit the Powerball. Friggin ridiculous

Do your job and wow the crowd with your play on the field. Leave the theatrics to the wrastlers...

I see what you're saying; I've kind of gotten the sense from Ochocinco that he doesn't take it all that seriously...the comparison to wrasslin is pretty apt. I think he's out there trying to have fun and create some buzz.

To me it doesn't really add or distract, it's just sorta there. If CO didn't have this schtick going, that would be fine. As it is, it's like ketchup on a good hamburger - fine when it's there but you don't really miss it when it's gone.
