kpholmes
If this does in fact play out like this, I'm not a fan of the decision at all. While I love the Raiders and Cal Bears, I also enjoy following the other Bay Area team. I've loved watching Singletary take charge and turn things around in SF, but this would be a very tacky move imo... Especially after Morgan dedicated his bye week to helping Crabtree. Too bad for Morgan, but if this team is serious about contending for a playoff spot, they are sorely in need of help at wideout. They need to get this kid in early and often - and find out what kind of production he's capable of. So, from a fantasy perspective, what are we looking at ongoing? WR4 or WR5? Stash him on the roster in deeper leagues?

I like Morgan too and feel hes got great potential.....BUT, if you saw the ATL game, he was jogging on routes and giving up here and there. He is basically not ready yet or pissed at the Niners playcalling. The Niners OL has been a mess for 6 yrs and Crabtree will have to make some incredible YAC to be productive fantasy wise.... You play to win the game. Clearly singletary thinks Crabtree gives his team the best chance to win.

To be honest, I don't think Singletary made this call. I think it came from the Yorks directly. Singletary is WAY too much about earning your place on a roster to let Crabtree slide in like this. Well, if it's coming from the owner that's not right - but Morgan hasn't exactly been lighting it up either.
BearBroncos
The point being, they are paying top shelf pricing for this cat and need to start getting some return on their product. If the kid was smart and stayed in shape during the hold out, he could make an immediate impact, if only to have defensive coahing wondering if the kid will go off. Furd
If Crabtree is a better WR than Morgan, right now, you have to start him over Morgan. Whether he "earned it" or not is irrelevant in this circumstance.
BearBroncos
Or Singletary did make the call figuring that Crabtree will pull a hammy and then coach could continue ignoring the punk. ROFL, you might have nailed it. I could actually see that from Singletary.
