BS Miscreant
I can't recall the utterer of these words but is was one of the guys when the four are sitting around the table doing post-analysis... it may have been Mayock... About Mays, and I paraphrase, He's a tremendous athlete who's not particularly athletic. All the tools are there independently but they don't seem to flow seemlessly together like others who are athletically "great". Gonkis
During the 40, they do 10- and 20-yard time splits also. It's only over-rated to people who are ignorant or Al Davis. If they're making decisions on someone being slower in the 40 by .05 seconds, that's idiotic. That's what 16 inches or something over 40 yards? Gonkis
You missed my point. Most teams and educated fans are NOT putting that kind of emphasis on a 40. It's a tool like any other drill. When it does get emphasized by a team, it's cuz they hadn't really scouted one particular kid who did run really fast. So all it did was bring the kid to their attention and then they'll go watch tape. I did miss your point. I agree, it gets so much attention. Crazysight
What you get when you put too much emphasis on the 40-time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pYDsVY_J6Cc
