Really, he seems to be handling the situation as positively as any player in recent history as the substance in question is apparently a medication he just failed to get clearance for. That being said, I don't get how these guys don't run absolutely everything they put in their bodies through the appropriate channels. I don't know off-hand what Spikes' contract is, but I'm guessing that four game checks is in the neighborhood of half a mill.
