MustOfBeenDrunk
He says he has no plans to retire , he got a dozen TD's last year , yes he is 31 and failed a physical due to ankle sprain in playoff game last year ,, but if he is willing to sign for vet min will he get picked up ? DMD
I doubt he signs for the vet minimum from ego alone. And yet I doubt any team wants a 31 year old RB whose skills have been in decline. His only hope is that during the season some team is really desperate for a big back. He doesn't catch the ball hardly and I hope he doesn't go anywhere because if he does it will be expressly to be a short yardage goalline guy and it will only mess up the backfield. General Itals
He'll sign somewhere about three weeks into training camp when an injury hits. No need for him to commit now.
Savage Beatings
I bet he will retire. He is saying he won't because sure, he'd like another season or two of paychecks coming in... but once the silence of his phone not ringing becomes deafening, he will hang it up. I don't see him retiring , He grabbed 11 TD's last year and I can see him doing the same this year if picked up even in a situation as DMD mentioned. In TD heavy leagues he could still be a player , 31 is old for a RB yes , but if used primarily as a goal line back only touching the ball 12 to 15 times a game I think he can still be productive , when he sat be hind LT for all those years in SD he played he best ball so finding another spot like that would work for him. Tripleshot
Those 11 TDs are midleading. He got them solely on being the goal line back in one of the best offenses in the league. I don't see any other team that puts him in the situation Atlanta did last year. He's done as a feature back, but might play a year or two more as a role player, if he can accept being a role player. He'll get an offer here or there as an injury replacement.
