  1. Thank you. That is the exact lineup I set, so that confirms that I am on planet earth this week. I wish I had found you last week.
  2. Is Berrian playing for sure? Because he is unsure as of this writing I will rule him out. Jordan for sure, he can run and catch it so that is that. Also a good team, good coach and he is playing well. So that leaves a wr. Morgan maybe but I am ignorant of his playing status, i.e. how much he plays and how he has been doing. Isnt Bryant catching everything there? So by process of elimination I say Edwards. He is always a potential big game player. Your right about Higgins- sucky team cant trust it. Morgan- to tough a d. IF Berrian is playing than start him without question otherwise go with Jordan and Edwards. IMO Can you help me? Cassel, Romo or Thigpen? At the moment I am going with Cassel.
  3. Our championship was last week and I choked completely!!! I am embarrassed to tell you what I did. In our league we give the lions share of money to total points through week 17. Now I am behind but have a slim chance to redeem myself. So some help please, just in case I can pull this off. Our scoring system is based on yardage and td's but not ppr. We start 2rbs and 2wrs and one flex. QB's: Romo, Cassel, Thigpen RB's: D Williams, Turner, C Johnson, Lynch, Stewart WR's: A Johnson, Royal, V Jackson, Holmes TE: Olsen, H Miller K: Bironas, K Brown D: Falcons, Panthers
  4. I am not feeling as strongly as you. I am benching both him and d williams as of this writing because of matchups and weather.
  5. First of all if you are a ff fanatic as I am, it is NEVER too early to speculate about next season. I get it though that things didnt work out so well for you this season, sorry to hear that. It was a weird year and a little more difficult than past seasons to predict. Anyway, I will stick to SLEEPERS only here. Mike Williams on the jaguars showed star potential- was hurt most of the year. D Branch FINALLY got healthy and performed- obviously lots of factors there but worth looking at. Carlson the te in seattle, same caveats as Branch S Hill, he is in Mike Martzs offense and they are playing well even now all things considered V Jackson, yes he is still a sleeper. I have him this season and while he is good, he is still under the radar. If he and Rivers keep improving then he becomes a consistent and solid receiver on a pass heavy team.
  6. I am concerned with a panthers road let down. The heavy winds could seriously cut into Jakes ability to go to Smith which would make them one dimensional. I actually have D Williams but I feel that I might sit him. It's a tough decisioin but I have the league championship on the line so I am really trying to make educated guesses here.
  7. Agree, he is going to start and HOPEFULLY play a huge game of yards AND tds. Fred Jackson does hawk some of his stats sometimes but hopefully Lynch is the man tomorrow.
  8. More to the point here, lets discuss the giants panthers game. With heavy winds and maybe some rain, who does it help more?
  9. Same here. I am playing for my league championship and made the mistake of starting him against that incredible Ravens defense. He had me MINUS points most of the game so I was really bumming. Then out of nowhere he comes back. First the td to TO HUGE momentum play. Followed a little bit later with the Whitten play all while accumulating valuable yardage. I went from -2 to +16 and now I feel a huge sigh of relief. So I feel I dodged a big disasterous mistake and now face tomorrow with some hope. Romo IS a great player but just not as great right now. I'll hesitate on him next year though as he may be on the decline but that's for another message. Right now I will just enjoy the comeback points. By the way the Ravens long runs really helped because it gave Tony plenty of clock to come back.
  10. UD, I had Schaub and cut him when he got hurt not thinking he would return healthy. I think he is a stud and is as capable as any good qb of putting up silly numbers in a given week- we also get big points for points once we hit 220 minimum. The Texans seem to be playing playoff ball now that they are out of the hunt and may very well dismantle the hapless raiders. In other words, he's a nice option to fall back to if you are feeling insecure with your other horses. I don't share your concern with Cutler- he's a beast. Now, honestly, while I want Brees to do poorly, I think he is a very solid start. Even if the lions slow him down he should get no less than 2 tds and 300 yds. In my situation I will just have to decide by game time tomorrow night. I feel if the wind is going to be strong then I should go with Romo, as you advized. Right now that seems to be the likely forecast. Thanks for your input it is appreciated. Juice
  11. I picked up Olson and dropped hated my Scheffler. Not a ton of logic on this one, only the fact that he has been getting more targets recently. Now here is my illogical but BEST reason for thinking he will do well. Everytime this season that I have a guy going on monday or thursday night he does decently or better- without exception. I know it's crazy to rely on superstition in logical analysis but this seems to be working this season and I cannot ignore it. So feel free to latch on to my trend here and go with Olson. You can yell at me here if I'm wrong on tuesday but I think you'll be thanking me instead. It happened again last night. I was ready to drop the colts defense as there seemed to be better options, then I remembered this trend. I bit the bullet and started them. Watched the game while they got destroyed by jacksonville's offense... that is until late in the game. A sudden pick for 6 and a couple of late added sacks and I walk away with a nice fat 10 points which is much higher than my average defensive score per week this season. So there you go... hop on board the trend I say.
  12. I had decided to bench T Romo but now I see Cassel faces mother nature. He may do okay but is it better odds to start Romo. My other option is pigpen or I could even pick up Hill. I am in a championship game, the guy I am facing has Brees vs Lions- bad timing for me. So I am panicking here, what should I do? I had just wanted to start Cassel and watch him be huge but now I am not so sure anymore....Don't want to watch S Morris run in 2 tds while the pats win 20 to 3. Damn it all to hell, please help!
  13. I am starting Cassel over Romo if that gives you perspective. The bears defense can be tough, Rogers will probably do ok but I think Cassel has the potential to go off- which would be nice. I think the worst he's likely to do is 250 and 2td's. Hope I'm right. In my case, Romo could leave the game with a couple of tough Ravens sacks so I am passing on him this week even though he is a stud.
  14. Had no idea Lynch was banged up. I was planning to start him in denver, now I am considering starting Royal w/cheese instead as a flex. Only thing is Lynch is really due for one monster game before the season ends imo. And I'm talking not just the pretty yards- which are nice- but some MULTIPLE td's from him. I am in my league championship this week and I am up against a team that has GREAT matchups, unfortunately. But you gotta play the games so maybe I'll get lucky. Any thoughts on Lynch? Does anybody know how badly he is hurt? What about Royal, does anybody feel he is a good start over Lynch? My team: qb Cassel rb Lynch rb D Williams rb Turner wr A Johnson wr Holmes te H Miller K K Brown D Colts bench: romo, thigpen, stewart, chris johnson, royal, v jackson, scheffler, bironas, panthers
