  1. Perfect! Come on down.....(gulp) Brian Westbrook, you're the next contestant on the RB Carousel!!! (since Gore injury) Thanks, Big John
  2. Anyone (Big John) have an idea how #43 not playing statistically affects Pitts run D? J Stewart has been a beast since coming back from injury so I'm tempted to dance with the devil and start him in what would normally be a no start situation. I would like to see the data concerning Pitt D w/o Troy P though before I make a final decision.
  3. Tampa Bay Bucs 2004 Michael Clayton (WR) - 2 (OUTSTANDING rookie season. Fell off the map after that 1 magical season) 2005 Caddilac Williams (RB) - 7 (unfortunate two brutal knee injuries derailed what seemed to be a promising career. Oh what might have been...) 2006 Davin Joseph (OG) - 6 (Inconsistent, but not giving up on him yet. Suffered season-ending injury 2 weeks ago) 2007 Gaines Adams (DE) - 3 (Tragic he passed away. Would have been nice to see if Marinelli couldda coached him up in Chicago. Never developed into top DE he was drafted to be while in Tampa) 2008 Aqib Talib (CB) - 8 (After a shaky couple years he's now slowly developing into a top CB) 2009 Josh Freeman (QB) - 10 (Growing pains his rookie year, but is everything Bucs fans could've hoped for in a 1st round QB. Tampa is nowhere near 7-4 w/o Freeman. 2-9 or 3-8 maybe?) 2010 Gerald McCoy (DT) - 8 (Having a very solid rookie year after a slow start. If he continues to put in the offseason/film work he could very well turn into a 10)
  4. I'll handle the Leo's for you Ikirc...living in MI unfortunately I see enough of Detroit Detroit Lions - NO NFL team has had a worse draft the last 7-10 years. Of the Lions' EIGHT 1st round picks from 2000-2006, only 1 (Jeff Backus) is still on the team. Ahh, the Matt Millen Era. Good times!! 2004 Roy Williams (WR) - 3 (got worse each year. Side note: Detroit absolutely fleeced Dallas trading Roy for a #1 pick) Kevin Jones (RB) - 2 (very good rookie year - couldn't stay healthy) 2005 Mike Williams (WR) - ZERO! 2006 Ernie Sims (LB) - 4 (Athletically gifted, but played out of control. Flashed brilliance at times, never did it consistently) 2007 Calvin Johnson (WR) - 10 (Freak. If he only had a healthy QB to build a nice rapport with. Yes, I'm talking to you Matthew Stafford) 2008 Gosder Cherilus (OT) - 3 (supposed top run blocker coming in from BC. Lions OL couldn't open a hole Gumby could squeeze through. I realize Gosder is only 20% responsible for this but he hasn't shown anything that remotely resembles a "top" run blocker) 2009 Matt Stafford (QB) - 4 (can't stay healthy) Brandon Pettigrew (TE) - 5 (starting to produce this year, did nothing last year) 2010 Ndamakong Suh (DT) - 10 (arguably one of the the best DT in the game as a rookie) Jhavid Best (RB) - 3 (2 very good games early, but now injured. Health was biggest concern coming into the NFL. Fragile Fred Taylor part deux?) BONUS GRADES!! (2000-2003) 2003 Charles Rogers (WR) - 1 (GREAT rookie year until breaking collar bone (twice) Then he decided smoking dope with his homies was a better way to spend his off seasons instead of rehabbing the shoulder. ANY other team would've picked Andre Johnson here but Chuck was a local kid (high school & college) 2002 Joey Harrington (QB) - 2 (Absolutely abused by opposing defenses playing behind a pathetic OL) 2001 Jeff Backus (OT) - 7 (for as much heat Backus takes from local media & "fans" he's not terrible by any means. 2000 Stockar McDougle (OT) - 1 (Ummm, he was better than Aaron Gibson!!)
  5. I know last year the Cardinals played their starters in a meaningless week 17 game and it carried them to the Super Bowl, anyone know if that will be the case again this year? Any word yet out of AZ? Same goes for Green Bay & San Diego. I know Norv is definitely in favor of resting his starters, so I'll assume they will sit. I have no idea how GB will handle week 17? Any info on any of these 3 teams would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  6. SD needs 1 more win to clinch #2 seed in AFC, so I'd think this is a very important game. Get it out of the way, so they don't have to worry about it. New England and Cincy are still mathematically alive. NE plays Jax and @ Hou. Cincy plays KC and @ NYJ
  7. Ya, I would love to know too. I need 5 more pts from him PPR. If only he would've scored instead of getting caught at the 5...tough way to lose if he doesn't return for the 2nd half!!
  8. I know his suspension is now over, but has there been any talk about him stepping right back into the starting lineup? Or will he see spot-duty? I squeaked by in a couple leagues this week that I have Bowe (and that I am thin @ WR), but I sure could use the help after losing Maclin, and with Sims-Walker playing on a short week he likely won't be productive, if he plays at all. D Bowe vs Cleveland surely could be a nice shot in the arm if he's getting full-time work! Anyone out there in KC have any early insight?
  9. Rogers Barber Jennings Green Bay Romo 219 yds
  10. Is Mike Bell worth a look too now that Reggie is out?
  11. Very good points. That's why I am putting so much thought into this deal. At first look, I get AJ!! 2nd thought, I have to give up D Jax who has been outplaying AJ. To AJ, or not to AJ... I still don't know...our league trade deadline is 11:59 Saturday night
  12. I hear ya Irish, D Jackson & Smith are the #3 & 8 WR in my league. And I have no problem paying that price for AJ because of his playoff match-ups. But my problem is I can't play all the WR's I have. Like I said, if I get AJ, I start AJ & Colston along with Sims-Walker, Burleson or Harvin based on match-up. If I don't make the trade, I start Jackson, Colston, & one of the others., and have to hope D Jax hits one of his big plays in the playoffs in likely sub zero temperature while AJ will be under a roof or in Miami. And the owner I would be trading with is in teh other division so I wouldn't see him until the finals. AJ @ Miami, and D Jax & Smith @ home in the bad weather.
  13. I've been offered the following trade by an owner who is thin at WR and I'm wondering if there is any reason to not accept. We start 3 WR. This is a NON PPR league, with yardage pts awarded to WR for every 15 yards. We do get 6 points for punt/kick return TD's. Thank you in advance to anyone who weighs in. I trade: DeSean Jackson & Steve Smith (NYG) I receive: Andre Johnson Currently my WR are: Colston, Sims-Walker, Burleson, Harvin, and of course D Jackson & Smith (NYG) If I make the trade I will have AJ & Colston as must starts, along with a best match-up rotation of Sims-Walker, Burleson or Harvin. Here are the playoff schedules for the players involved: AJ: Seattle, @ St. Louis, @ Miami Smith: Philly, @ Washington, Carolina Jackson: @ NYG, San Fran, Denver +++NOTE+++ AJ plays 2 games in domes & 1 in Miami (good weather). Smith & Jackson play ALL of their games outdoors on the East Coast where bad weather would be almost certain. Am I missing something, or is this a no-brainer for me to accept? Thanks again for the responses!!
