Rockn, I just bought 3 TVs and sold my Sony XBR 36 inch tube set.
I work in an office of 70 people, so sent an eamil to the staff. Two people wanted it and got $300 for it. That puppy was heavy. When the guy came to get it, we had to roll it to the SUV using moving pads and tipping it from side to top to side to bottom about 3 revolutions. It was upside down a couple of times but he said it looks great outside in his outdoor living room with fireplace. Its covered and has a grill cover to boot.
As far as the three TVs, I got a Samsung 56 inch DLP for the den/media room, a Samsung 50 inch polasma mounted in the living room and a Sony 26 inch Bravia LCD for the kitchen/breakfast area. I was fortunate enough to know two guys whose main hobbies are home theaters. They know their stuff and suggested these TVs for my locations and budget. The plasma and LCD just got installed yeaterday, but so far all three look awesome to me. I had all three going for the World Series last night and just went room to room watching. I'll progably have my preferences in a few weeks. FYI, I bought at Best Buy, but the homework was already done. Just thought I'd let you know about my recent TV experience.
Good luck. I'm sure you will be fine with whatever you go with.
