  1. I've made it to our Super Bowl mainly on the strength of Aaron Rodgers. I know he's probably only going to play a half at the most tomorrow, but our league has team QB's, meaning that we get stats for the starter AND any backup that plays that week. So, do you think Rodgers and Matt Flynn's totals versus the Cards will be better than Jay Cutler's against the Lions? At first glance it looks like Cutler is an easy choice, but the Lions have only given up 2 passing TD's once in the past 4 games. Maybe the Packer-Cardinal game will be a shootout with 2nd stringers. Thoughts? Thanks. By the way, we get big bonuses for length of TD passed. For TD's between 21 & 49 yards we get 9 points, and 50+ are worth 12. This would make me lean toward the Packers' QBs, since they throw for longer TDs.
  2. To anyone who's watching the Vikings-Cardinals. Is Steve Breaston playing? I took a shot with him this week and so far he' s not showing up in the box score.
  3. Leaning toward Gaffney. The New England weather doesn't sound as bad as Cleveland's, plus I'd say that Gaffney has more upside. I thought of Furrey too, but I'd be a little worried that San Diego could shut down the Lions. They've had some good offensive games this year, but they've also looked impotent at times.
  4. I've got a very consistent Hasselbeck vs. a lousy Carolina D, but in windy conditions OR Warner playing a very suspect Saints secondary, probably in a shootout or at least playing catchup for the game. Right now I have Hasselbeck in the lineup, but I'm a little worried that if they got up big early, they may turn to the run a little more than usual, especially if it's windy.
  5. He came back in the 2nd qtr. Looked fine.
  6. I hear ya, but he only threw NINE passes the first half. Doesn't sound too promising.
  7. I'm so happy I benched Hasselbeck and started Warner today in what was supposed to be an offensive shootout. Arizona has 90 total yards (a whopping 39 passing yards) of offense at halftime. When did the Cleveland D turn into the 85 Giants?
  8. The Linc field is actually natural turf with synthetic fibers woven through, but the new sod was just laid over the existing field, which is what they just did in Pittsburgh, I think. It's just a temporary fix until the end of the season when they'll do the entire field over.
  9. Man, I SO needed Fitz to have a big game today, and it was set up perfectly against Cleveland. I just know if I bench him he'll have two long TD's.
  10. The weather's not too bad, but be aware that the Eagles re-sodded the field about 8-10 days ago. It's not as wet as it was in Pittsburgh last Monday, but I'm thinking that the new sod may be a factor with players like Westbrook who make quick cuts.
  11. I'm about 15 miles east of South Philly.....it's cloudy but no rain right now. Very light wind too. As far as the field goes, it shouldn't be any slicker than normal unless it starts raining hard. There's not much grass left on the field anyway. It's one of those fields that never looks too great, even in September, and Temple had a game on it yesterday, so it's probably a little chewed up.
  12. Keep 'em the way you have 'em. From what I read Jackson can come out at any time. Go with the sure thing in Barber.
  13. Does anyone have any more info on Marvelous Marvin's knee? One day I hear he's starting and then the next day he's doubtful. Of course, we won't know until tomorrow night, long after the decision must be made. If I play him will he show up in street clothes or worse yet, play 3 downs and come out of the game? If I bench him I know he'll score 3 TD's. I need advice.....other than, "you should have drafted Wayne." Thanks guys.
  14. I have a similar dilemma with Peterson and DeShaun Foster. Looks like Chester Taylor is back, and Childress says he's starting. So it may be back to the dreaded running back by committee for the Vikings, screwing all of us Peterson owners. I'd say go with Edge, at least today.
  15. Thanks again Roy, I appreciate your effort. I not only left Braylon Edwards on the bench, I also didn't start Lee Evans. Of course, both had TDs! You're riding the pine next week Roy......as long as L.J. gets me into the next round tonight.
