KUBJPO01
I am drafting tonight in a 12-team leauge where we can keep rookies and 2nd yr. players (which means that if I draft a rookie this yr.I will have him for a total of 3 years). We also award 1/2 pt. for recepts.; I am drafting 11th in snake draft and think that if I wait till' 3rd round all 4 rookie Rb's (Benson, Brown, Cad. W. and Arrington) may be gone as a result of a run early on in that round. My quest. is if any 1 of these guys, based on league rules, is worth stepping up to take at #14 overall? Rookie keepers have become a big part of league and I would then be without one next year but, is 2nd round TOO HIGH? Thanks in advance and I will answer yours! Vet
I think Williams and Arrington will well be worth the pick and would take either one of them without hesitation. I think Brown and Benson will probably end up being worth the pick as well, but they may be dead weight for a few weeks given their hold-out situations (Benson, as you know still hasn't signed which makes me wonder about his smarts), but both will get their shots at carrying the load this season. So, bottom line, I think you'll be OK taking any of the four in a keeper league. I'm in a similar situation - I have the #1 and #3 picks in a dynasty league draft tonight. I'm pretty sure I'm going Williams at #1 and then one of the others at #3. Good luck!
