bigbadwolf
Anyone have any insight on which of the two ARI wrs, Boldin and Fitz, seem to be Kurts first option on passing plays? Through an automated draft I ended up with both of them, and want to know which of the two has more promise so I can trade the other. Boldin was a beast his rookie season, but blew out his knee last year. Fitz is the highly acclaimed 2nd year player, but his stats were not as good as Boldin's rookie season. I'm basically stuck on this one. Thanks for any feedback.
Chadman
Something that might matter in some small way someday...Fitz was a Vikings ball boy growing up, his father and Denny Green are good friends...and I think that's the main reason Fitz was drafted by the Cardinals. I don't ever think Fitz won't get every opportunity to produce as long as Denny is his coach. That being said, Boldin is quite the talent. With the new/old QB, it's hard to say. I have not seen them, but if you didn't know the first part of my post, I thought I would pass it on. One thought to ponder, when with the Rams, seems like they did a lot of shorter to medium routes with Warner that those receivers turned into long plays. Might be something of value with Fitz being more of a short/possession type receiver? Good luck to you.
bigbadwolf
Thanks... didn't consider the StL offensive scheme with short passes. That would benefit Fitz most likely.
Azazello1313
in the preseason game against denver, kurt seemed to be looking fitz' way a LOT. fwiw.
Youre Going Down
The team classifies them as 1a Boldin 1b Fitz. I believe they will both post equall numbers. I would trade the one that gives you the best value. You will be fine with either one as a 2 or 3 receiver on your team depending on league size. The only thing that really concerns me about the Cards is their OLine play. They are on their 4th center because of injuries, have not looked good(Arrington owners). Hope this helps. HutOne
bigbad wolf, Thats why I took Boldin over Fitzgerald. I think it will be the opposite of what you posted above. Boldin I think will be the guy catching the 5 yard slants and using his speed . Fitz will be the deep threat. So far everything I heard and read that is going to be the Cards passing attack. Of course only time will tell but if Warner can be somewhat of his old self you shouldn't go wrong with either.
Chadman
Unfortunately, Fitz will now be used and too expensive to trade for. But, did anyone watch the game and see how these guys were used. My instincts were right on with this one, but MAN, that is a huge game for Fitz, even considering my thought he would get plenty of looks.
