fantasyfanatic
I was one of the lucky people (at this point) that took a shot on Davis in the 13th round. I have him on the tradeing block right now. There are a few teams desperate for a 2nd or third back. I am asking way too much for him in most cases just to get talks started. What is his value? Is he going to be the man again in Carolina? I asked one guy for S.Smith for him. Is that too much? What are the homers hearing about him? crispirons
not a homer, just a concerned deshaun owner. the carry total was 13 to 9 davis over foster. besides the 30+ yard run davis had, they had similar numbers. i think alot will depend on matchup throuought the yr. deep down, i think fox would prefer the smash mouth running of davis over foster but because of the injury, fox will keep his total carries limited for the time being. i have to agree with the huddles dmd and whitney that neither are great fantasy starts at this point. in case of emergency, break glass and start one. if you have other options i would look that way. WaterMan
From the Panthers games I have seen, Foster is used more than a usual change of pace back because of he could potentially break one down the sidelines. He won't get the tough yardage that Davis will though. Edited September 15, 2005 by WaterMan
