Menudo
Wasn't a lot to go with here this week. I mean, how can you rip on the Texans Anyway, I'm sure Gilthorp will point out my mistakes in pentameter ( I don't even know what that is) Here is this week's poem. I didn't have as much to work with this week. I mean, how can you make fun of the Texans ??? If you missed the Titans poem, it is located here: http://mboard.steelers.com/fanzone/mboard/Post|37238 Last year's poems are located here: http://www.steelers.com/article/49595/ Anyway, without further adieu, here it is: From Houston Texas, September 18th, 2005, The Steelers were looking to keep, their winning streak alive; The Texans looked to rebound, from a Week 1 loss, And the Steelers quickly showed them, who would be the boss; Willie picked right up, where he left off last week, And Ben hit El twice, showing perfect technique; Though the drive stopped short, the good guys took the lead, As the Steelers picked up 3 points, off the toe of Jeff Reed; The Texans first drive, couldn’t have been much shorter, Clark knocks the ball from Carr, and it’s recovered by Joey Porter; The Steelers took just 2 plays, to get more points on the board, With a beautiful pump fake, Ben throws a TD pass to Ward; The Steeler ‘D’ stood tall, and forced a Texans punt, And the offense looked to score, and move further out in front; Big Ben was looking perfect, finding Cedrick and finding Hines, The Texans were at the mercy, of Whisenhunt’s play designs; Ben goes back to pass, from the Texans 14, A TD pass to Ward, this was staring to look routine, After a little over a quarter, the Steelers had a 17 point lead, At the half the lead was 20, with another field goal from Jeff Reed; The 2nd half began, with the Texans looking strong, After a humilating 1st half, they looked to prove that they belong; A drive that started at their own 22, had moved it very far, And the Texans are on the board, with a TD pass from Carr; After a poor pre-season, many said that Big Ben looked awful shoddy, But he sure looked good on a 40 yarder, that he threw across his body; The Texans scored on their first drive, to try to control the rout, But the Steelers answered right back, and Willie scored from 10 yards out; And that was it for this game, as that TD would end the scoring, Wow, the Steelers look great, but these blowouts are kind of boring; When the dust had settled, the demoliton was complete, The Steelers had handed the Titans, a 27 to 7 defeat; Carr would spend most of the day, lying on his back, As LeBau’s Blitzburgh ‘D’, registered sack after sack, The ‘D’ would end with 8 sacks, three would come from Troy, Another team showed up, another we had to destroy; So the Steelers move to 2 and 0, and we also got a sweetin’ As the Tennessee Titans handed the Ratbirds another beatin’ And that takes us to next week, when the champs come to town, But the Steelers are going to show them, that we are taking this year’s crown; The regular season win streak is at 16, and all I can say is ‘wow’ I can’t wait until next week, when I can return to swinging the towel; Boy it sure is great, to see how good this team has become, And when this season’s over, we WILL add a ring to Rooney’s thumb; And now to the greatest Steeler fan, who was sent to heaven above, This poem is dedicted to you Dad, with every bit of my love; Edited September 19, 2005 by Menudo

Randall
Do you have any Roethlisberger poems? You know, the type where he is told he sucks, then goes out and throws 3 perfect TD passes?
