Donutrun Jellies
When pro athletes get hurt and are going to miss time, sometimes they don't travel with the team -- ala Steve McNair and Julius Jones this week as per the huddle news. What is up with that?? Is the team saving money on a plane ticket or is the player opting not to go support his team? Are they thinking JJs ankle will heal faster if he doesn't fly -- or is he getting a vacation his 'mates don't get to hang with his family? When my daughter blew her knee out a couple years ago as a sophomore, she went to every practice and all 30+ remaining games for her varsity and travel teams (in state and out of state) ... regardless of weather, regardless of immobilizer, crutches, pain, frustration, etc ... just to support her team. Does making millions make that passion go away?
Turf Smurf
No, I suspect the team opts to keep them with the docs and continue rehab in order to get them back faster.........hyperberic chambers and what not, don't fly....
frenzal rhomb
Don't know for sure but maybe they are getting treatment or a long flight may aggravate whatever condition they may have.
