There's a lot of time between now and the game (tomorrow night), so ANYTHING can happen. Vitt is a moran.

It was reported that Faulk and Martin both had this bug, but both were improving yesterday, though the team asked them to stay home to prevent the spread.

This could be Marshall's last game ever if he hangs 'em up. If he is leaning toward retirement, he'll be in there, I believe, regardless of what Vitt wants.

Game Notes: Pregame

Sunday, January 1, 2006

IRVING, Texas - Greetings from Texas, where the Eagles are about to lose to the Redskins, making tonight's game officially meaningless in terms of the playoffs.

- A quick Happy New Year to everyone. Here's hoping the final game of the season at least brings some excitement.

- Running back Steven Jackson is inactive and will not suit up tonight. He did nothing in practice all week so it isn't a huge surprise that he is missing the game. The hip pointer proved to be too painful and after playing with it last week, it's been hard.

- Marshall Faulk is expected to start in Jackson's place, but he has been seriously ill all week. If he can't go, Arlen Harris will get the start. Even if Faulk starts, expect Harris to get some of the work load.

- Torry Holt needs a pair of catches to reach 100 for the season and 9 yards to get to 1,300 for the season. He would become the first player in NFL history to accomplish that six consecutive times.

- The rest of the Rams inactives are: Jimmy Kennedy, Ben Noll, Matt Morgan, Aaron Walker, Clifford Dukes and Brian Howard. Kennedy has been plagued by injuries for the past couple of weeks and missed parts of practice this week.

- Hometown kid Jeremy Calahan will be active for the first time.

- The Cowboys inactives are quarterback Drew Henson, safety Tony Dixon, guard Marco Rivera, tackle Marcus Price, defensive end Junior Glymph, tight end Sean Ryan, defensive end Kenyon Coleman and defensive end Vontrell Jamison.
