MikesVikes
From Sid Hartman's Column today in the Star Tribune... One rumor in New York is that the Jets called the Vikings about their interest in Jets coach Herman Edwards, but the Vikings showed no interest in the coach, who instead landed with the Kansas City Chiefs in exchange for a fourth-round draft choice. I know that coaches have been traded for picks before, but have teams ever sent out feelers for possible interest from other teams for a coach before this? As far as trading coaches for picks, I thought that the NFL didn't like that practice, either.
