Homer Posted July 31, 2006 Share Posted July 31, 2006 The commish of our league is proposing to do a serpintine pre-draft before the auction. (To shorten the time spent at the auction.) The twist, the pre-draft will be for kicker, DEF, and Special Teams. Special teams suck so my question is this: I have pick 1:1, 2:10, and 3:1. Do I take a kicker or DEF first? If the top scoring Defense outscores the tenth scoring defense by more than the 1st scoring kicker outscores the 10th scoring kicker you go Defense first. If not you take kicker first. You just have to look at the drop off level. If you are pretty sure that everyone will wait til 3rd round for ST then you will get the 1st if either K or D and the 10th of th other that is why you look purely at points difference from last year because that is a good gauge. In a standard Yahoo league the difference between the top D and the 10th D last year was 58 points. The 1st K to the 10th is 49 points.
