Hat Trick
http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/arti...3/60831030/1100 Indianapolis Colts placekicker Adam Vinatieri has a broken bone in his left (non-kicking) foot, but whether that will keep him out of the team's regular-season opener Sept. 10 at the New York Giants is unclear. "That's what he told us about a week and a half ago," Vinatieri's mother, Judy, said of the injury. "They sent him to a specialist. They found a small broken bone in his foot." The Colts continue to characterize the Aug. 14 practice injury as a damaged ligament in the ankle, not a fracture, and say he's "day-to-day." They have expressed optimism that he'll be able to play against the Giants. Vinatieri never discussed his return to action with his family. "Probably day-to-day or maybe week-to-week," said Judy Vinatieri. "He never said a word to us about that." Read tomorrow's Indianapolis Star for more details about this story. NavinRJohnson
There's a sound I've never heard...The sound of the #1 ranked kicker tumbling down the cheatsheet.
Savage Beatings
"Probably day-to-day or maybe week-to-week," said Judy Vinatieri. "He never said a word to us about that." That's just some sorry sports reporting right there.
cdrudge
Snicker. We just had our draft last night. The league newbie drafted him in the 5th or 6th round of a 14-round draft. We all laughed at him then. We are all laughing at him even more now. <Homer hat on>Hopefully Vinatieri can still be a productive member of the team this year. Thankfully I don't think we will need him a lot, but when we do, hopefully he will score when it counts.</homer hat off>

nopackerfan
Since when is a mom in charge? Maybe she should call the plays too, the Colts might finally make it to the promise land!
