DexterDew
Since i bit on Portis at 1.10 three weeks ago, i really want to make sure that i start the WR with the best chance in being in a shoot out and scoring lots of points. Rod Smith against a new secondary in STL. He had a little hamstring thing going on during camp, but should be 100% (WRs with hammy problems being very common this year). I think this game could be a shoot out and i think it is beneficial that Walker is on the other side plus two decent RBs. Burleson is likely to be WR1a this week since Jackson will only play about 25 plays (roughly half), and since Stevens is out, Jackson is half out, Hass will have to throw to Burleson and Engram. This game can only be a shoot out if DET OFF is better than last year and preseason. I think their OFF will be better in time, but this is year one with a new QB, HC, and OC. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Scoring and rest of the team in the signature.

SCHUSTEW1
Definitely Burleson, watch for a BIG year
DexterDew
thanks for the responses! i don't think the Rams will improve as much on DEF as the Lions, so I am leaning towards Smith... i just want to see how SEA will use Burleson (like Joe Jurevicius?) Doc Holliday
I would go with Rod Smith although I think both will be solid this week.
DexterDew
thanks Doc! what i like is that Plummer and Smith have an established connection and they are in the same system/HC....
DexterDew
after seeing Smith's numbers from last year, only two games did he score less than 10 points, so i will start him this week.
DexterDew
bump i've been drinking, and i am not convinced on Smith
broncosn05
bump i've been drinking, and i am not convinced on Smith Rod Smith will only have the advantage over Walker for the first 2 weeks of the season. It's the chemistry he has with Plummer. While Javon is a huge threat to score in his first game as a Bronco Jake won't abandon the guy that is leading the coalition "For Plummer, against Cutler." This will be a gunslinger matchup that Denver will win because of the run D won't allow a TD.
hoopzfanatic
I would roll with Rod Smith...I like the past history there and didn't see much from big Nate in preseason...don't really know the roll he'll play there yet.
