Bree22
The Browns are awaiting MRI results on running back Reuben Droughns' shoulder. Droughns finished with 32 yards on 14 carries and scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter in Week 2 at Cincinnati. He rushed for 1,232 yards last season. (Updated 09/18/2006). Does any have any updates?
DROCK_IN_CT
I have not heard anything yet either. I am trying to figure out who would step in if he missed time. I just grabbed Harrison off WW but Wright was the one that spelled him last week.
loaf
status uncertain: Mary Kay Cabot Plain Dealer Reporter Running back Reuben Droughns (shoulder) and cornerback Gary Baxter (chest muscle) both underwent MRIs Monday and their status for the Ravens game Sunday is uncertain. Although the Browns received the results of the MRIs Monday, they chose not to reveal the results until Wednesday. Coach Romeo Crennel admitted he doesn't receive the medical report until after his 11:30 a.m. news conference is over so he doesn't have to share it with the media. "They don't tell me this stuff purposely, until the afternoon," Crennel said. Droughns hurt his shoulder in the first half of the 34-17 loss to the Bengals. Jason Wright subbed for him on the first series of the second half while Droughns was undergoing treatment. "He got banged up a little bit," Crennel said. "The doctors are looking at him and they'll decide if it's serious or not. He got hit on the shoulder." Droughns, who rushed for 32 yards on 14 carries (2.3-yard average), had a big collision with linebacker David Pollack on the Browns' second play that knocked Pollack out for the season with a neck injury. Droughns may have hurt his shoulder then, but he played through the middle of the fourth quarter, except for a drive at the start of the second half. Droughns' last play was a ball that went through his hands and was intercepted.

kwolf68
Seriously, why would ANYONE care about ANY running back on this team with a game against Baltimore looming? The Browns stink, are a mess, and are playing a team that will probably beat them down in a very ugly fashion this week. There will be virtually no running yards to come by no matter who (outside of a re-cloned Jim Brown) starts for the Clowns this weekend.
