ROCKNE
I have Gates and would be getting Bell. I'm thin @ RB and would have Watson for my TEi f I made the trade. I would be the one offering it. He has Cooley & Vernon Davis for TE's. Does this improve my team? My only fear is that Gates will take off as soon as I trade him. Here is my team............. Ten Team League QB - Eli Manning Charlie Frye Alex Smith RB - Ronnie Brown Chester Taylor Marion Barber Mike Bell Brandon Jacobs Maurice Morris WR – Steve Smith Reggie Wayne Housmandzadeh Cotchery TE – Antonio Gates Ben Watson K- Adam Viniatieri Dave Akers

pzarvell
I'd make the offer. You certainly need an RB and having both Bell's (just in case T goes down b/c I believe he has the job until injury takes it away) will give you that consistant starting RB. Gates may explode - but so far Rivers hasn't shown that he favors Gates like Brees did - and hasn't shown that SD will be anything near a consistant passing team. rebdog
I can't give an answer because I've actually posted a topic about acquiring Gates. But I can tell you that I think SD's passing attack will pick up. Rivers has shown he can do it...no doubt. They've played three games. First one vs. Oakland Marty didn't let Rivers throw. Last game vs. Balt. was a tougher matchup and after looking good Marty did what Marty tends to do.....tried to sit on a lead by running. All that said, Watson's a good TE and Bell would be your best RB.
