Skippy
I’m no culinary genius but I’ll share what I’m going to put together. Old fashion Beef Stew Ingredients: 3 pounds flank steak 2 tablespoons oil 4 medium carrots, cut in 1-inch slices 4 medium onions, cut in chunks 4 medium potatoes, cut in 1-inch cubes 1/2 bag of frozen vegetables (whatever you like, I use just corn) 1 big can condensed beef broth or 2 small cans 2 cups boiling water 3/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce 1/2 teaspoon salt dash pepper 3 tablespoons corn starch 3 tablespoons cold water Cut the steak into cubes and brown in a heavy hot skillet with hot oil. Add all the ingredients minus the corn starch and water to the crock. Cover and cook on LOW for 9 to 12 hours, or on HIGH for 5 to 6 hours. Pour the juice out of the crook into the sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Combine the corn starch with the water into a cup and stir into the boiling mixture slowly. Make sure you constantly stir the gravy. Be careful not to thicken the gravy too much. Pour the gravy back into the crook and mix it all up and serve. This is really simple and old fashion but we love it and it does fill the house with great cooking aroma.
