Cunning Runt
@ People who post thier stories and opinions looking for input and then turn around to tell everyone to F off for giving theirs. My goodness. That's odd - where do I look for your input. Trust me, you're more than welcome to keep it to yourself. You too Hat.
CowboysDiehard
Yeah, I don't get why people post questions about trade fairness at the Huddle. The answer is always the same, if it's not collusion, let it ride. Personally, I disagree with this stance. I joined a league full of NOOBs this year (a friend of mine, who happens to supervise several of them, needed to fill a spot). I should have known what I was getting into. LT fell into his lap at #4...and then within a couple of weeks, he was able to acquire Chad Johnson and Rudi Johnson for middle of the road players. The rest, as they say, is history. He's destroying everybody now--reeled off 8 straight after an 0-4 start. Not long after, one of the owners posted a note about "needing to slow this guy down". I started to write back, publically, that it's your own fault for loading him up. However, since I've gone around with him in more than one league, I sent a private message to him saying I disagreed with the way he took advantage of the neophyte owners in the league. After all, it's only $30 I'm out, so I didn't figure a public spectacle is worth it. Bottom line is--even if it isn't collusion, misinformed (and by that I mean inexperienced) owners can upset the competitive balance in a league with one lopsided trade. So, while I disagree with the stance that posters here have on trades, I never weigh in, because there is no point in doing so. As far as the league I'm describing goes, I've learned my lesson and won't be back in it next year. Believe me, I had my chances to make my own lopsided trades there, and passed on them. I just don't believe in the "total shark" mentality that some people have. I will simply let my friend know that I'm in one too many leagues, and need to scale back a bit. If you're in a league that stresses you because of trades you don't like, move on. Friendships aren't worth tossing into the fire over a few bucks. That's my :twocents: for what it's worth...probably worth less than that, all things considered.
