Gros Membres!
Just trying to get a handle on Leinart the rest of the way. Leinart has been inconsistent as expected but I'm thinking the return of Fitzgerald could open some things up for the rook. That combined with some nice matchups could make him a viable QB2. Here's his schedule post- Dallas up until week 16: DET, @MIN, @STL, SEA, DEN, @SF Could Leinart catch on fire the rest of the way and would you feel comfortable starting him in your fantasy playoffs? Or is he simple a wait-for-next-year QB?
DMD
what needs to be answered this week and especially the next is whether Lienart can recapture the magic of the first two weeks now that he is back at home. The Cardinals typically play much better at home and then suck on the road. Leinart has followed that trend throwing 253,2 and 232,2 against KC and CHI in Phoenix but then only 203 (@OAK) and 157(@GB). But new QBs like him often open with two good games (Gradkowski for example), so this week will be the first to see if he is just going to be another rookie QB that opens with a couple of decent games and then is mediocre or if he can just replicate the typical ARZ behavoir of home vs. Away games. In 4 games this year, Warner had 4 TDs at home and then just 1 TD away (2 home, 2 away). It's just the way the Cards always seem to work every year.
