godtomsatan
per the Bills website: NFL FREE AGENT VISIT RULES: Just so everyone is up to speed on the procedure with free agent visits. NFL teams must report to the League office any visits to their facilities by Restricted and Unrestricted Free Agents through the end of the applicable signing period. The following rules apply. (1) A visit is limited to two days. A player may participate in on-field tryouts on both of the days, but that's usually not the case. (2) There is no limit to the number of times a player may visit a club. (3) The visit must be reported to the League office on the first day. Any visit that includes a tryout shall be designated to the League office as a "Tryout." Any visit that does not include a tryout shall be reported as a "Visit" and will be listed on the Personnel Notice in that manner. (4) Players shall not be remunerated in any way except for normal travel and lodging expenses connected with the visit. (5) Helmets and protective pads for elbows and knees are permitted for tryouts, but all other pads are prohibited. (6) Such players may not participate in an organized mini-camp or organized off-season program, except with the club to which they were under contract upon expiration.
