Polecat
It is a 5 player keeper leage and i could keep Gates if Brandon Jacobs is not the starter. Edited May 28, 2007 by Polecat
soco
It depends . who else is on your team and what are your rules. if you have good depth at rb and a good wide out id keep Gates his stats alone are close to most of the better WR's if your team looks shabby than take the extra pick to help even your team out.... good luck
Bronco Billy
In a 5 player keeper league, the 2nd pick is most probably a starting rookie RB whereas the 5th pick in most probably approximately the 61st or 62nd vet player on the board in this year's draft. The Gates portion of the equation is player who has early 2nd round value but probably doesn't get drafted in most leagues until the 3rd to early 4th round. So essentially what you are asking is whether an owner wants one of the potentially starting rookie RBs or early 2nd round and early 6th round value in vet players. That really depends upon a team's roster needs. A team weak at RB might want to roll the dice with the 2nd pick. A team that has depth at RB might rightfully jump at the Gates/5th pick end of the deal. Edited May 30, 2007 by Bronco Billy
