They may just be amiable to working something out where the truck can be parked somewhere that will not disturb the neighborhood (like in a nearby lot...) The driver is a jerk - if it isn't 30 or 40 degrees out, he can motor the truck to a non-residential neighborhood and warm it up for 15 minutes (yeah, right) away from people's homes.
