A furry grim reaper?

A nursing home here in town has two cats that roam the halls. They wait by the elevator to go down to the basement to use their litter boxes and visit rooms it is actually quite funny. One of them has been the only other living being in the room on a number of occasions. If there is no family in the room when someone is close to dying, the cat will go in and lay on the foot of the bed. I have had to move him when I arrive to remove the body. It is a little eerie that it can sense when someone is dying alone. If there is family, the cat pays no attention. It is only if the person dying is alone.

Reminds me of that old Steven King movie Cats Eye where the cat would suck the life outa sleeping people.

You’ve got it all wrong…

Cat’s Eye is actually three separate short stories all linked together by the cat. In the last short story, it’s the little troll that is trying to suck the life out of people. The cat ends up saving the little girl, (a young Drew Barrymore), from the killer troll…
