The Status column will likely be blank or show Stopped. Right click on Print Spooler and select Start. Also, make sure Startup Type is set to Automatic. Try printing again. I thought I was almost there. The printer showed back up to add. However, when I tried to add the printer I received a different Microsoft error box saying: "Spooler Subsystem App has encountered a problem and needs to close. sorry for the SUPERCALIFRAGILISTICEXPIALIDOCIOUS !!!ing inconvenience" The error signature reads: szAppName: spoolsv.exe szAppVer:5.1.2600.2696 szModName:SCPRINT.DLL szModVer:1.0.0.1 offset:00005e54 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Looks like the DLL might be corrupt - if you've got the repair disk you can try that or you can try rolling back to a restore point before the problem manifested itself.
