If you are going to ride, you have to do it like half of the motorists on the road don't see you and the other half of the motorists on the road are gunning for you. That's probably good advice for how to drive ANY vehicle. My rule of thumb is "always expect the other person to do the stupidest thing possible. You'll be right about 50% of the time."
