NON-PPR League

5 pt bonus for 50+ yds receiving for RBs

6 pts rushing TD

9 pts receiving TD for RBs

2.05 Selection:

Benson - Positives: very good O-line, all the carries + goal-line, needs to prove himself

Negatives: hasn't handled a full-load yet, breaking tackles a problem

Playoff weeks: WAS, MIN, GB

MJD - Positives: great O-line, explosive, very good goal-line runner, playmaker for the Jags

Negatives: sharing with Taylor (MJD could get more), G.Jones gets some goal-line

Playoff weeks: CAR, PIT, OAK

Who is the pick here for a #2 RB????????

I have Bensen rated higher than MJD. Plusses and minuses are:

Bensen-

Plusses: Good team. Will be in position to run alot. No other options for running the ball. Grossman sux so they will want to run as much as possible.

Minuses-Has not proven himself. Shared carries last year so durability is an issue (but he carried the load in college).

MJD-

Plusses-Talented back. Great athlete. Big and strong. Jax will try to run the ball alot.

Minuse-Team sux. Will be behind alot and have to throw. Taylor will steal TDs.

I always favor a featured back who's just ok on a good team over a talented back who shares carries on a crummy team. Go for Bensen (or Maroney if he's available).

I have Jones Drew rated highter---he will be getting the bulk of the load in Jax.

You might even want to consider McGahee if he's still there...?

There is, in fact, very little evidence seen in pre-season to support this statement.

Benson is a no-brainer in large part due to the simple fact that he'll be given 25+ carries per game, barring injury. The same cannot be said of MJD. Simple as that.
