Scorcher
Seen a few articles on Johnson, saying his being with Brees will resurrect his career. Don't recall Brees using TE last year, and there was never one of note on the Saints. Why would Johnson be different?

tbimm
I would like to think that Johnson will be fantasy gold this season but I just dont think there are enough targets to go around here! He should be more productive that previous Saints TE's but that isnt saying a whole lot. Early on I jumped on the "Brees loves the TE option" thinking, but the fact of the matter is that Johnson is no Antonio Gates!
myhousekey
Plus lets not forget the Saints kept 4 TE's....this team knows their TE's don't exactly stay healthy all year.
Ursa Majoris
Johnson is worth a pickup in deeper TE leagues. He can do it if he gets the chances but NO has good receivers.

Check that...now they are carrying 5 TE's The Saints tweaked their 53-man roster today when they re-signed tight end Ronnie Ghent. To make room on the roster for Ghent, the Black-and-Gold waived first-year defensive tackle McKinley Boykin.
Bill Swerski
SF's system has made more than one mediocre TE look great. Edited September 4, 2007 by Bill Swerski
