The PC has more power for less money and has a myriad more choices for video editing and other software. Plus, if not out already, there is a rumor of final cut for win coming, search google. Why didn't he just tell me that from the outset? I researched Final Cut on an iBook, and ended up going with Sony Vegas on a WinXP PC. Right now, he's looking at the Final Cut products, which he knows and the Adobe something or other which he said he could go with in order to avoid the whole apple thing. Avid is a really high end system, so they have the mentality that they have to remove a lot of features to sell something to compete with Sony and Apple, otherwise they hurt the top end. I forgot about Adobe. I hated their editing package with a passion, but that was like 9 years ago since I tried it. People change. Seasons change. My favorites are still Sony and Apple.
