Giants Like Phillips

It's being reported that Giants DC Steve Spagnuolo "loves" Miami S Kenny Phillips.

The Giants could take Phillips with their No. 31 pick in the first-round, but it's highly unlikely that he will slip that far. The Cowboys are said to be very high on Phillips as well.

Redskins Looking At Merling

The Redskins sent a group of team officials to check out Clemson DE Phillip Merling's Pro Day.

Owner Dan Snyder, DC Greg Blache and HC Jim Zorn were among the group. They are also expected to attend Oklahoma WR Malcolm Kelly's second private Pro Day on Thursday afternoon.

Jets Looking At QB Matt Ryan

With the Jets sitting at #6 in the upcoming NFL Draft, many "experts" now believe the Jets could change their strategy and select Matt Ryan, QB from Boston College, instead of locking up a defensive player or Darren McFadden.

The Jets are losing confidence in Kellen Clemens and believe he may have been more a "product of the system" in Oregon despite his arm strength. Clemens is expected to battle Chad Pennington in training camp for the starting job, but that could all change should the Jets select Ryan Saturday.

Zorn Changing Campbell's Mechanics

New Redskins HC Jim Zorn has been working this past month on changing QB Jason Campbell's stance and throwing mechanics, according to the Washington Post.

These mechanical adjustments have already helped Campbell with his release point while the compressed stance will allow Campbell to do a better job moving laterally. Campbell threw 12 TDs last season before suffering a season-ending knee injury. Campbell will be the starter heading into the 2008 regular season.

is this your own opinion? because the way you present it, you make it seem like it came from the article...which it does not. Every mock draft ive seen for the cowboys has them taking a RB/WR/CB with thier 2 first round picks...where did you get this piece of info?
