KSUChiefsTarheelFan
IMO there is something really wrong with this... Edited May 9, 2008 by KSUChiefsTarheelFan
Cyclones
I'm shocked - a Tarholes fan complaining about something Kentucky is doing. Gillispie is working his tail off and has piled up more commitments from big time recruits in the last 8 months than Tubby got in the last 4 years. Gone are the days of Sheray Thomas, Bobby Perry, Lukasz Obrzut and Shagari Alleyne comprising a Kentucky recruiting class. Next year will likely be rough after losing our top 2 guards, but starting in 2009 Kentucky will be a team to be feared once more. To me, if a kid wants to commit to a college, I say let him. Tim Floyd has taken commitments from 2 8th graders. When OJ Mayo was in the 8th grade and starring for his HS Varsity team, most predicted he would be the top pick in the NBA draft when his time came - but I guess you'd have been opposed if Ol Roy had taken a commitment from him at that time, eh ksucthf? This is going to be the future of recruiting. With more and more programs becoming relevant, coaches are going to try and get the jump on each other. In Avery's case, his dad called Gillispie twice and Coach offered the kid a ride, and the kid took it. Recruiting is a 2 way street, its not like Coach G held a gun to the kid's head. KSUChiefsTarheelFan
I'm shocked - a Tarholes fan complaining about something Kentucky is doing. Not complaining about what Kentucky is doing, but the fact that it is actually possible. But while we are on the subject, why would I complain about anything Kentucky is doing? We own them EVERY year we play them. Recruiting is a 2 way street, its not like Coach G held a gun to the kid's head. Why even get him to commit? We all know he will go play for the Cat's for at most a year, and then declare.
The Wolf
This is absolutely ridiculous...the kid hasn't even picked a high school yet. What's next...recruiting as soon as they pop out of the womb? The NCAA has to come in and cease this practice immediately.
Cyclones
. But while we are on the subject, why would I complain about anything Kentucky is doing? We own them EVERY year we play them. You've got a short memory my friend. Tubby let us slip into relative mediocrity, but we spanked you guys 4 years in a row prior to you current 3 game win streak over us. And last time I checked, 7 > 4. Frankly, I couldn't care less about our H2H record. Banners are what matter.
