LayLow
The team is crap, when they go without a win for a few more weeks, the team will give up and palmer will opt for surgery on his elbow.
tomfin2000
I'm about to drop him myself, and I'm down to Kyle Orton as my starter this week with Aaron Rodgers injured. If I'm Palmer's agent, I'm telling him to sit out the rest of the season, collect a nice paycheck, let his elbow heal properly, and wait for this mess to get cleaned up next spring. I've seen this too many times before. 9 times out of 10, when you read the stories we're reading about Palmer, the player is done. We're just going to pretend he's not for several more weeks like we did last year with Javon Walker and Larry Johnson.
BeeR
Palmer Heap Chaddy J Anderson Holt I have seen these and other alleged upper-tier people who are sucking wind badly get cut outright. Some were picked up, some still sit, and none likely to see a start anytime soon. It's a weird year.
detlef
I don't think there's any credible reason to expect Palmer, even if healthy, to be a top 20 QB this year considering the mess that team is in. So, mix in the elbow, and that tells me there's not much reason to waste a spot on him. I'm not saying that I knew this all along, but I will say that I had him low enough on my draft boards that I was assured of not getting him. Jimmy_22
I have McNabb and Delhomme. Picked up Palmer a few weeks ago after someone dropped him. I'll be using him as trade fodder after he has a few big games. He's a big name that can me moved if he performs. If not, he's not really hurting my team by sitting on the bench. JetFanMike
You sound like you're in a similar situation to me. I have Romo, Palmer, and Delhomme. I am hanging onto Palmer for now -- I don't NEED him, and if he has a real good game or two he could have solid trade value. Unless you can replace him with somebody who would get playing time (and points) for you I'd hang onto him -- he DOES have solid upside. You gotta figure the Bengals will be losing in a lot of games and playing catchup, and Palmer has a lot of targets to throw to...
