Ursa Majoris
S&P500 is up 12% from intra-day lows reached on Friday. That's the same level of meaningless as the drops last week. All it really means is that the stupid sheep are still just following each other around. As soon as one starts selling, all the others will follow. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa. wiegie
That's the same level of meaningless as the drops last week. All it really means is that the stupid sheep are still just following each other around. As soon as one starts selling, all the others will follow. Baaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I'll differ here a little bit. I think the reaction today is a direct result of the Europeans putting a plan together over the weekend and the Americans outlining their plan in more detail this morning. And I think the lows last week were a result of the markets discounting in the possibility that no such plans would be reached. (That doesn't mean I think everything will be rosy from here on out, but unlike what was happening on Friday, I think there is some explanation for today's upswing.) muck
+1 And, as Dmarc said, expect additional volatility from here. And, related to that, while I don't know that we'll revisit Friday's lows, I would not be surprised if we revisit SP500 at 900 again over the next couple of weeks/months before hitting S&P500 at 1000...
