Grits and Shins
Tuesday my wife voted early. She mistakenly took my voter's registration card with her and presented it as hers. The person working the desk scanned the card, marked my name off and gave her an access code to enter her ballot. Before my wife actually voted she noticed she had the wrong card and immediately informed the people working the election of the error. They were not very pleased with her and their first response was that if I would simply come down and vote everything would be okay ... I was at work and it didn't fit in my schedule to drop everything and drive back home to vote. That made them even more unhappy. A half hour later and several phone calls later they tell my wife all is resolved and she uses her drivers license to get her access code and votes as herself. Fast forward to this morning. I'm working from home today and decided to go vote and take care of some errands. I show up and they have me down as having already voted. Fortunately the same people were working today as were working Tuesday and they remembered the my wife and the whole incident. So now more phone calls have to be made to update the system to show that I had not voted. Half hour later all appears to have been resolved and I get my access code and vote. I don't understand why they couldn't have cleaned up the system on Tuesday before I actually came in? Anyway ... I'm not sure if one or both of our ballots are actually registered ... and if only one, which one.

Big F'n Dave
I don't understand why they couldn't have cleaned up the system on Tuesday before I actually came in? And they're probably not sure why your wife didn't bring her own voter ID.
