This will upgrade me at RB, and with the Bengals' current woes, I'm thinking this is a great chance to sell Housh and get a guy like Avery with upside. He'll be on my bench anyway since I have some stud WRs in front of him (see my sig below for details). I do like this trade....Slaton has been great, but you are right, he is giving up carries to Green now (not a ton,but enough)...Plus, Bears are a better team right now than Houston, and Forte has been a beast.... Far as Housh/Avery.....Bengals are way too inconsistent......Avery has upside and seems to be getting more and more comfortable in the offense...i think it's a good trade.. Pappadoc Posted October 24, 2008 Share Posted October 24, 2008 A. Green is not much of a threat b/c the guy is 87 years old and can never stay healthy. Avery has had two good games thus far...so it is hard to trust him to continue to produce, plus who knows if S. Jackson is gonna play. I think both Slaton and Forte are both studs. With TJ...there is still a decent chance that Carson does come back and play. Even if he goes on I.R. I think trade is a wash. Holmes now out an Forte on the bye, but I like the look of my team now. I'm going to try to see if the Addai owner will take Ryan Grant for him straight up (since I have Rhodes), and then I'll feel ready for a deep playoff run.
