Christmas song help!..

There is a Christmas song I want to download but I don't know who it's from. I figured with all the metalheads and rockers on this site, you guys might be able to help me out.

It's : "You're a mean one, Mr. Grinch!"

Not the original song from the movie or cartoon. This one is a rock version I heard on the radio a couple years ago. Not full-on metal but definitely was a rock version with good guitar. It was played on a rock station in Atlanta, and I don't know if it was a local band or not (so maybe it is just played regionally  ) but any help tracking it down would be appreciated. After all it is the Christmas Season. Thanks!

Gotta be one of these one would think. LOL

From wikipedia:

Since then, it has been remade by several other artists:

Thurl Ravenscroft, the original

Jim Carrey, for the 2000 live action version of the film

Slaid Cleaves, on the Holiday Samper EP

Gary Hoey, guitar instrumental

Sixpence None the Richer

Rockapella, a cappella

Marty Gold Children's Chorus

Whirling Dervishes, titled just "Grinch", on the Grinch EP

Mojo Nixon & Toadliquors, titled "Mr. Grinch," on the Horny Holidays album

Deanna Kirk, on the album Where Are You Now

Bus Stop, titled "Grinch," on the album Miracle Time!

Blue Meanies, titled "Hey Mr. Grinch," on the A Very Punk Christmas compilation

Brian Setzer Orchestra, from the Dig That Crazy Christmas album

Go Fish, titled "The Grinch Song" from the More Than a Story album

(which also contains silence and then a hidden track after the song)

Hugo Lugo, on the "Buoppie Stew: Originals And Covers" album

Dweezil Zappa

Fareed Haque

Bob Malone

The Coats, on the Album "On Christmas Time"

Crash Test Dummies

The Asylum Street Spankers

RuPaul, on the album Ho, Ho, Ho

Aimee Mann, on the album One More Drifter in the Snow

Ron Thal, as a part of his solo live in a Guns N' Roses concert before Christmas.

Mannheim Steamroller, on their album Christmasville, sung by Jeffrey Morrow

Gee, I wonder how many of them thought, "Hey, let's do a Christmas cover, but not one that everyone else does. Let's do the grinch tune."

Or you could be looking at:

Offspring (a punk cover) version

Whirling Dervishes version

The first one sounds more like what you are talking about.

I checked out the Whirling Dervishes and that's not it and it doesn't have the Offspring sound....so I'm still looking, but thanks for the effort! seriously.

:D I hate it when I fail. *sigh*

I am out of choices I think. Unless you consider Burl Ives a rocker.
