I have been watching the NHL and the NBA and I wanna know why the home team is now wearing the darker colored spamshirts and the away team is wearing white? When did this change, and why? Big John Posted October 31, 2003 Share Posted October 31, 2003 The NHL has changed their rules this year so the home team now wears the dark. For the NBA, I think the rule is now that the home team can decide which color to wear. I saw Houston wearing their dark uniform at home yesterday on Sportscenter, but other that that, I saw the home teams wearing their white uniforms.
