Oil Burner down the tubes!

OK - so I'm sitting here with a freakin' cracked oil burner. Arrrrrrgh!

First I have to have asbestos removal on pipes, burner, and inside the burner as well. That's approx $650.

Then I've been offered to replace burner with a 4-section unit with a coil (to heat water in the house). Small cape. Not dormered yet. Was looking to do so in about 2 yrs.

The brand of the unit is Ultimate. No, actually I think it's Utica.

Any clues as to cost of unit and installation? Is this a reliable brand? I'm starting my research but am looking for any informed opinions.

TIA

Looks like no Huddle experts on this. I did work on them many years ago but mostly it was the 100 and 200 lb hot water boilers and 1200 lb steam boilers on ships. I did very little with ones in homes except maybe clean my own and change oil filters and nozzles. Sorry.

Replaced ours 15 yrs. ago with a Weil-Mclain have had zero issues and very efficient.

We had a Super-stor water storage tank installed also, no issues with it either.

If I had it to do again though , I would consider an oil fired Water heater instead of a storage tank , like this one we have a Brock in our new home and there is a noticeable difference in oil consumption during the warm months, compared to the system where the boiler also made the hot water.

Hope this helps.
