rocknrobn26
So he got a "Key to the City'. Befitting, but he deserves more like "Person of the Year" from Time Magazine. How often does someone save that many lives in a situation that would normally be a body count? Ahhhhh.....like never.
jaxfactor
Two local Jax guys were on that plane. I read the paper today. I recognized one of them, but couldn't put my finger on it. I finally realized that this guy was on my old mail route. He and his wife are hugh Gator fans and I used to talk college ball with them. They live pretty close to me so I'll have to swing by and see him. He gave the pilot all the credit as well he should. He's back home now. And yes, he flew. SheikYerbuti
This pilot deserves a major award. If the current info holds..............NO MAJOR INJURIES/DEATHS!!!!Fantastic!!! I think they said on the news yesterday that before he was an airliner pilot he flew F-14's in the Army. Sounds like the passengers were in great hands. The guy deserves as many medals as they can pin on his uniform, an invite onto Letterman, Leno, Oprah and a book deal.
Clubfoothead
Nice flying for sure. He's from my Mom's hometown.
