Footballjoe Posted January 21, 2009 Share Posted January 21, 2009 This may be a stupid question but..................Lets say I have my time in to get full benfits when I retire. However, I kick the bucket prior to actually retiring. Does my wife automatically get my retirement or does she just get the life insurance I have on myself? I know when I retire I can take a reduction for my wife to keep getting the benefits but just not sure what happens before i retire. I may need to visit our HR Dept tomorrow.
